The Montgomery County Historical Society, Maryland, is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of our county’s history. Founded in 1944 as a small, all-volunteer group, today MCHS has a professional staff who, along with our dedicated volunteers, manage two museums and a research library. Our headquarters in Rockville is the home of the Beall-Dawson House, Stonestreet Museum of 19th Century Medicine, and Jane C. Sween Research Library. To learn more about MCHS, or to plan a visit to our museums and library, please visit www.montgomeryhistory.org.
